The Meaning Behind the Name Violet Flame
Names carry meaning.
Sometimes, a name is chosen because it sounds right. Sometimes, it represents a particular service or idea. And sometimes, it holds several layers of meaning that only become clearer over time.
For me, Violet Flame is one of those names.
It reflects the spiritual meaning behind the work I feel drawn to do, the transformation I hope to support in others and a deeply personal connection to someone from my own family.
It isn’t simply a business name. It represents something I believe in.

The Spiritual Meaning of the Violet Flame
The violet flame is often associated with healing, transformation and transmutation.
Transmutation is the process of changing something from one state into another. Spiritually, this can mean releasing what no longer serves us and transforming difficult experiences, emotions or patterns into greater understanding, strength and wisdom.
That does not mean pretending that painful things are positive or bypassing the reality of what we have experienced.
It means recognising that we are not required to remain trapped within an old version of ourselves forever.
We can learn.
We can heal.
We can make different choices.
We can begin again.
This meaning connected with me because so much of personal and spiritual growth is about transformation. It is not necessarily about becoming a completely different person. Often, it is about gradually uncovering more of who we already are beneath fear, expectations, difficult experiences and the roles we have learned to play.
The idea of the violet flame felt connected to the kind of space I wanted to create: somewhere people could feel supported as they reflected, healed, developed spiritually and moved forward in their own way.

Why the Flame Matters
A flame can be gentle, but it can also be powerful.
It can bring light into a dark space. It can offer warmth, represent hope and help us see what was previously hidden. Fire can also symbolise change because once something has been touched by it, it cannot always return to exactly what it was before.
That symbolism feels very relevant to the work behind Violet Flame.
Real transformation is not always dramatic. It does not have to involve completely changing your life overnight.
Sometimes, transformation looks like speaking more kindly to yourself.
It can mean trusting your intuition instead of automatically dismissing it.
It might be setting a boundary, admitting that something no longer feels right or allowing yourself to consider a new direction.
It can be choosing to take one small step even though you do not feel completely ready.
These moments may appear ordinary from the outside, but internally they can represent a significant change.
The flame reminds me that even a small amount of light can make a difference.

My Personal Connection to the Name Violet

The name also has a much more personal meaning for me.
My nan’s name was Violet.
That connection made the name feel especially significant. It gave it a sense of family, remembrance and continuity that went beyond its spiritual symbolism.
I did not want to choose a name simply because it sounded mystical or looked attractive on a logo. I wanted it to feel genuine. I wanted it to have roots.
Having my nan’s name within Violet Flame gives the business a quiet connection to my own history. It reminds me that none of us begins entirely from scratch. We carry pieces of the people who came before us – their influence, their stories, the things they taught us and the ways they shaped our lives.
Not all of those influences are obvious. Some become clearer as we grow older and understand ourselves differently.
For me, the word Violet brings together that personal family connection with the spiritual meaning of the colour itself.
Violet is often associated with intuition, spiritual awareness, reflection and higher understanding. It feels calm but strong, spiritual without being disconnected from everyday life and gentle without being weak.
Those are the qualities I want Violet Flame to embody.

More Than One Kind of Transformation

Violet Flame brings several different areas of work together, including spiritual life coaching, mediumship and tarot, events, cards and crystals, and wellness experiences.
On the surface, these may appear to be separate services. For me, they are connected by what they can help people experience.
Each one can offer a different doorway into reflection, connection and personal transformation.
A coaching conversation may help someone recognise what has been holding them back.
A reading may offer reassurance, insight or a different perspective.
A spiritual event can help people feel less alone and more connected to a community.
A crystal, card deck or spiritual practice may become a meaningful part of someone’s everyday life.
A wellness experience can create space to pause, receive care and reconnect with yourself.
They are not all the same, and they do not need to be. What connects them is the intention behind them.
I want people to feel welcomed rather than judged. Supported rather than pressured. Encouraged to trust themselves rather than told what they must believe or do.
That is an important part of what the name Violet Flame represents to me.

Transformation Should Not Mean Becoming Someone Else
There can be a lot of pressure within personal development and spirituality to continually improve ourselves.
We can start to believe that we must become more confident, more successful, more positive, more spiritual or more healed before we are worthy of the life we want.
This is not the message I want Violet Flame to give.
Transformation does not have to mean rejecting who you are now.
It can mean understanding yourself more deeply.
It can mean recognising your strengths alongside the areas where you still need support.
It can mean letting go of expectations that were never truly yours.
It can also mean accepting that growth is rarely a straight line. There will be times when we feel clear and confident, followed by times when we question ourselves again.
That does not mean we have failed or returned to the beginning.
We are human, and real growth happens within real life – with responsibilities, relationships, uncertainty, tiredness and all the other things we carry.
The violet flame symbol reminds me that transformation can be compassionate. It can be gradual. It can honour where we have been while helping us move towards what comes next.

What I Hope Violet Flame Represents
As Violet Flame grows, I hope the name continues to represent warmth, honesty and meaningful change.
I want it to feel spiritual, but grounded.
Mystical, but never frightening or theatrical.
Professional, but still personal and human.
Most importantly, I want it to represent a place where people can explore their spiritual and personal development without feeling that they need to have everything worked out already.
You do not need to arrive with perfect confidence, complete clarity or all of the answers.
Sometimes, you only need enough light to see the next step.
For me, that is the meaning behind Violet Flame: honouring where have come from, reconnecting with who we truly are and allowing transformation to unfold in a way that feels genuine, supported and right for us.
The name carries my nan’s memory, my spiritual beliefs and the purpose behind the work I am building.
It feels personal.
It feels meaningful.
And it feels like home.
